I’m Jerusha (Roo) Winchester! I have worked in the education field for over 28 years one way or another. I worked in public education for both Fayetteville and Rogers school districts for 22 years combined. During that tenure, I had the opportunity to be a PE teacher, work in general education, special education, and behavioral education and with all age groups (K-12th grade). I have been I director for ASC, and summer camps for the last 9 years. In 2020, I created my own nonprofit organization to serve children and families of our community which is now known as Roo's World. I have a Bachelor of Education K-12 degree, & 9 hours towards my master's degree in working with children with trauma . I have spent my career in the child development and education field, as that is my true passion & truly where my heart is. I have an intense passion to help, reach, and serve as many children/families as possible before my time on earth is finished. I believe in investing in others 💯 of the time. My ultimate goal is to have 11 locations in NWA (we will open 2 more this year), and to share the curriculum/programming Roo’s World is based on with others so it can be carried on. Our program “Roo-ology”, is the art of having fun and learning to adventure while learning the value of self.

I love to travel and explore! Every chance I get you will find me adventuring with my family. I love to be with family & friends.  I am a native to NWA and happily married with 2 kids and 3 fur babies. I love children, ALL children! I believe in giving back to humanity as much as I can. I believe in kindness, empathy & compassion for all! I believe in listening to others, so they can be heard. I believe in empowering children and adults to be their complete selves 💯 of the time! That is actually my “human superpower”😉. Every single human in my world has immense value! Favorite quote: “Nothing happens without value because everything happens for a reason”!
